RMR SUSPENSIONS READY FOR ARENACROSS
With the added dates and changes to the schedule, RMR owner and operator, Rod Matechuk of Abbotsford, BC is committed to set up shop at a number of the participating venues and will ...be offering several performance packages to meet the needs of every rider from Beginner to Pro.
Says Matechuk, “You can have all the power in the world, but if you can’t get that power to the ground, you can’t go faster”. And in Arenacross, where the corners are tighter, the landings are shorter and the track is more technical – suspension is key to confidence and success. Adds Matechuk, “Suspension is for everyone. Many Pros will say, ‘ just give me my suspension and a stock motor and I’m good to go’ but even at Beginner or Intermediate level it helps to smooth out all terrain types – features you had to really think about just disappear – allowing you to
concentrate on good body position and going faster”.
Matechuk has a long history in racing – he competed in the Pro class back in the 90’s and although finishing an impressive 5th against Canadian champion, JSR, he
almost quit after repeatedly going over the bars. He didn’t know anything about suspension but just knew it didn’t feel right. After returning from a training session in California, he started to get into suspension and hasn’t looked back since.
After years in the industry, he started RMR and has been building a team
of professionals that now include; Dale Schwartz and John Holden. Together they specialize in mx, x-country, street, road racing, atv, utv, snowmobiles, and trucks.
With over two decades of experience in the industry, Matechuk believes “We are different because we have Fox Racing Suspensions on our side and have recently teamed up with Fox Fork Valving to provide an exclusive product to our riders”.
The RMR specialists are offering the following three packages to all levels of riders throughout the 2010-11 season:
1) Fox fork/shock re-valve, fork oil $428.00 plus tax fork seals and springs extra.
2) Fox fork/shock re-valve, fork oil, Fox protune caps $648.00
plus tax. Fork seals and springs extra.
3) Fox fork re-valve RC3 rear shock, fork oil, pro-tune caps $1538.00 plus tax. Fork seals and springs extra. Appointments at the Arenacross venues should
be set up in advance, as space and time are limited.

CANADIAN ARENA SUPERCROSS
Recent news of the Canadian Arenacross Championships expansion has created quite a stir. For those of you who are wondering what all the fuss is about and what these new venues have to offer, here's a sneak peak at what's to come this year...
Star riders from major Canadian teams have already committed to the expanded series including Leading Edge Kawasaki, Blackfoot Yamaha & RTR KTM/Honda. In addition to fielding their best Canadian Pro riders, some teams and local motorcycle dealers are bringing in hired guns from the US demonstrating the serious commitment and important nature of securing a #1 Canadian Arenacross plate.
The latest venue to be confirmed is the spectacular brand new Abbotsford Sports and Entertainment Centre
ABBOTSFORD SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE
The Abbotsford event will be held in this newly built all purpose state of the art entertainment centre. The Abbotsford facility has all the whistles, bells and comfort you would expect to find in the most modern facilities anywhere, with multiple video screens, wrap around video animation, plush seats, hospitality facilities and much much more. The Abbotsford event will run on Friday and Saturday January 21st & 22nd on the same weekend as the annual Vancouver international motorcycle show at the near by Abbotsford Tradex facility.
GRANDE PRAIRIE - CRYSTAL CENTRE, CANADA GAMES ARENA
The Grande Prairie, Crystal Centre, Canada Games Arena is an ideal venue situated in the middle of downtown Grande Prairie with lots of hotels, restaurants, shops and other amenities. GP is a sprawling ever-expanding city servicing the bustling northern oil patch. Grande Prairie will have indoor heated pits in the adjoining Crystal Gardens Exhibition Centre and has all of the ingredients for a great weekend.
PENTICTON SOUTH OKANAGAN EVENTS CENTRE
Penticton is another new state of the art facility that the series will be visiting on February 25th & 26th presented by Robin Gibbs. Penticton is confirmed as part of the Canadian Arena Supercross series after a great inaugural visit to the venue earlier this year as the final rounds of the Canadian Arenacross Championship.
CHILLIWACK HERITAGE PARK
For ten years Chilliwack Heritage Park has hosted many rounds of the Canadian Arenacross Championship and despite its rustic feel has become an annual favourite destination for racers and fans alike. Chilliwack boasts the biggest Arenacross track on the series. Heritage Park has indoor pits, camping facilities and lots of hotels and restaurants close by. The annual season opener attracts riders from across the country and the US with two consecutive weekends of racing. Mid-week track rentals and riding schools hosted by top riders like Dusty Klatt and Kyle Beaton make it a unique event and an eagerly awaited part of the Canadian racing calendar.
Chilliwack fans have witnessed stars and history in the making. The event always provides some great racing seeing championships won and lost in spectacular style some times in the last corner of the last lap of the series. Riders like Darcy Lange, Kyle Beaton, Colton Facciotti, Dusty Klatt, JSR, Ryan Lockhart, Brock Hoyer, Teddy Maier, Marco Dube and many more have regularly competed and thrilled the crowd at Chilliwack. Two kids who cut their teeth at Chilliwack and went on to great things include US Kawasaki stars Ryan Villopoto and Dean Wilson, both of which are contenders for next year's US Supercross and Supercross Lights championships.
If you want to see the best indoor race talent that Canada has to offer, mark your calendar and get of the couch and be at the event you wont be disappointed.
